Future
The women I met in southern Arizona changed my life. Now I do something every day for the Earth. The future of "Earth & Women" requires production and financial partners. I envision a 10-part series which will depict other uncommon women who are helping save the Earth by their actions and lifestyles.
Brief History
I've specialized in women's projects since 1998 through scripts, prose and initiatives. Earth & Women - the pilot was born out of that zeal and my love for the Southwest. A friend and former colleague moved to Tucson AZ seeking alternative building ideas. She found Solar Haven, home of Mindy and Jim Phypers, who demonstrated green building and methods of living off the grid. I began corresponding with the Phypers. The next year, an all-female crew taped the Phypers' strawbale wall raising and all southern Arizona footage. We were green before it was cool. All principal footage was shot using solar power.
